 Hot Weather Warning: If you are more than a two day ship from OH, I do not recommend you purchasing this item when temperatures exceed 71 degrees.  Be certain you have someone available for your delivery so the candy does not sit in the hot sun.  Melted candy can not be guaranteed.  We do our best to protect your candy, but can not control what happens in heat in excess of 70 degrees.

 The filberts (hazelnuts) are panned in copper kettles until the whole nut is encased in crystallized sugar, a time-consuming process that takes days, but one we're sure you'll find well worth the effort. Whether you prefer to let these sweet treats slowly melt in your mouth until you get to the filbert nut or simply bite right into them, you won't be able to resist them. 1lb. bag contains approx. 38 candies.

This candy arrives in our store in bulk quantities and is packed for your order when we receive the order.  We package small quantities of this candy in cellophane bags that are heat-sealed. We then seal and bag again for product safety and include an ingredients label. Products are then boxed and shipped.  Larger quantities are double bagged for safety and an ingredients label is included. It is then boxed and sealed for shipment. If you want candies bagged in one pound bags, you will have to tell us that as when we receive an order or five pounds, we ship it as such.
 
Our cream filberts are soft and fresh.  If you want old hard crunchy candy, you'll have to set it out and let it age:-)

 It costs the same to ship 1 pound as it does to ship 2 pounds, so order 2 pounds and share with a friend.

We are licensed and inspected by the Lucas County Health Department and the Ohio Department of Agriculture use a licensed exterminator, so you can rest assured your product is prepared and stored in a sanitary, and well maintained facility.

    My Mother prepared all foods from scratch so when she bought 'mothballs' it was a real treat, and one of my favorite childhood memories. Over the years I've searched for 'mothballs' and it wasn't until 2 years ago that I located Boyd's and was delighted to find the wonderful little 'mothballs'. The first bite told me the candy is authentic as the ones I remember so many, many years ago. Thank you, Boyd's.

    These were my dad’s favorite candy, so I ordered to share with my 5 siblings. Not happening! Well, at least not with this order. Just as I remembered if not better. The order arrived promptly, and packaged extremely well.

    My mom is almost 80 and she had been mentioning Moth Balls for a few years. I thought she was losing it, calling a candy Moth Balls?? This Christmas, she mentioned them again, so I took to the internet and low and behold... I found them. Moth Balls!!! Mom received her Moth Balls in the mail and cried! She said, "They are the best! They bring me back to my childhood! This is perfect!" Tonight I called her and she was finishing up eating another one and again oooh'd and ahhhh'd about them. Thank you for helping my mom go "back in time"!!! So thankful you make these candies!
