The filberts (hazelnuts) are panned in copper kettles until the whole nut is encased in crystallized sugar, a time-consuming process that takes days, but one we're sure you'll find well worth the effort. Whether you prefer to let these sweet treats slowly melt in your mouth until you get to the filbert nut or simply bite right into them, you won't be able to resist them. 1lb. bag contains approx. 38 candies.

This candy arrives in our store in bulk quantities and is packed for your order when we receive the order. We package small quantities of this candy in cellophane bags that are heat-sealed. We then seal and bag again for product safety and include an ingredients label. Products are then boxed and shipped. Larger quantities are double bagged for safety and an ingredients label is included. It is then boxed and sealed for shipment. If you want candies bagged in one pound bags, you will have to tell us that as when we receive an order or five pounds, we ship it as such.

Our cream filberts are soft and fresh. If you want old hard crunchy candy, you'll have to set it out and let it age:-)

It costs the same to ship 1 pound as it does to ship 2 pounds, so order 2 pounds and share with a friend.

Reliviing childhood sweet memories

Going back to childhood days, one of many special treats saved for holiday celebrations was the Cream Filberts, better known as moth balls or snowballs depending on time of year. It has been years since I had this wonderful candy but that doesn't mean it was forgotten. I often wondered what happened to this sweet treat. Curiosity got the best of me. I searched online and discovered Boyd's Retro Candy. I was delighted to find this marvelous little white ball in the nostalgic category and immediately placed an order for 2 pounds. When the next holiday nears, I'll be placing an order for Cream Filberts to be shipped to my son. No doubt he will soon have a memory of his own about moth balls and snowballs.

love love love the cream filberts they are great as good as i remember, came with an ice pack to help keep fresh! great idea,box came with a suggestion to put in frige too. packaged so none of the "mothballs",as we called them,came broke. very happy with purchase will be back for more

I used to love these candies when I was a kid..... now I love them all over again. It is soooooo hard to let them just melt in your mouth, but oh so good.

I love cream filberts, or as I called them, mothballs. They are just as I remembered. Crystal sugar over creamy goodness with a filbert (hazelnut) inside. Thanks for having them in stock.
