Be certain you have someone available for your delivery so the candy does not sit in the hot sun. Melted candy can not be guaranteed. The filberts (hazelnuts) are panned in copper kettles until the whole nut is encased in crystallized sugar, a time-consuming process that takes days, but one we're sure you'll find well worth the effort. Whether you prefer to let these sweet treats slowly melt in your mouth until you get to the filbert nut or simply bite right into them, you won't be able to resist them. 1lb. bag contains approx. 38 candies.

This candy arrives in our store in bulk quantities and is packed for your order when we receive the order. We package small quantities of this candy in cellophane bags that are heat-sealed. We then seal and bag again for product safety and include an ingredients label. Products are then boxed and shipped. Larger quantities are double bagged for safety and an ingredients label is included. It is then boxed and sealed for shipment. If you want candies bagged in one pound bags, you will have to tell us that as when we receive an order or five pounds, we ship it as such.

Our cream filberts are soft and fresh. If you want old hard crunchy candy, you'll have to set it out and let it age:-)

It costs the same to ship 1 pound as it does to ship 2 pounds, so order 2 pounds and share with a friend.

My mom has been talking about this childhood candy for years, checking every candy store we go but can never find them. I surprised her with them as a Christmas gift and she could not have been more excited! She said they tasted just as she remembered!

Wonderful candy. Very fresh. Just as I remember it many, many years ago. It always showed up at our house at Christmastime. I'm now sharing it with family and friends. So pleased to have found this shop. Fast shipping too.

Super sugary holiday confection with a filbert inside that brings back memories of when our kids were young 30+ years ago. A candy to be savored and eaten slowly. Yum.

Memories from childhood - Delicious ones!!

When I was a little girl, each Christmas my paternal grandmother would send a big box of her home made cookies along with a bag of "mothballs". My grandparents lived in New York and we could not find the candy on the west coast. When I found Boyd's and they had the candy, I was ecstatic. I ordered a few pounds and thrilled my brother when I told him of my find and that I would send him some.

The creamed filberts are so good. I have searched for them each time I go to a candy counter. I grew up on a farm and it was a real treat to have this candy on special occasions as a child. I was so happy to find them again...thank you Boyd's

I looked and looked and have now found where I can buy my favorite candy. Cream Filberts or Mothballs/Snowballs are so delicious - they bring back wonderful childhood memories. The candy arrived quickly, well wrapped and fresh - absolutely perfect! So glad I ordered 2lbs. They don't last long!
